** 7pm – 11pm TONIGHT ! **
Hello everyone,
I want to let you know about Lleswyl 2021 – Daring to Dream‘s FREE streamed music festival:
7pm – 11pm Friday November 26th 2021 (tomorrow evening!)
Lleswyl founder Barbara Chidgey told me about her wonderful idea of a ‘festival at home’ for people with chronic illness, disability, loneliness who are often socially isolated & can struggle to attend gigs or be unable to attend them at all!
Especially now as everything is opening up for others, many of us with chronic illness are still living in some kind of lockdown scenario. As we often were anyway before the pandemic.
There are some fantastic South Wales musicians & bands playing …
Afro Cluster, Calan Folk, The Gentle Good, Ify Iwobi, Philanthropy Jazz UK, Mike Harries and the Root Doctors,Doctor and the Medics, and and Royal Welsh Little Big Band, playing in #AmserJazzTime from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
I’ve seen a few of these artists in the past & can recommend. The performances will be hosted by a team of presenters and interspersed with inspiring stories from those living with chronic illness.
The programme is now live (which may help with pacing for those who need it).
You can attend individual performances or the entire night if you’re able. Due to electrosensitivity I will likely only manage a small part of the evening but it’d be lovely to ‘see you there’ and join together virtually.
Please let your family & friends know too.
Tickets are FREE and need to be booked via eventbrite and the link can be found at the bottom of Daring to Dream’s Lleswyl page on their website or direct via lleswyl on eventbrite.
Hope you enjoy & ‘see you there’
Take care X
