Getaboutable (Australia) is holding it’s very first Accessible & Inclusive Tourism Conference in the Asia -Pacific between 6th – 27 May 2021.
Each Thursday themes will be explored by individual speakers and panel discussions (talks are available to watch after initially streamed for global viewers. This also helps if you have to pace health-wise).
Topics span the diverse world of travelling whilst differently abled. The conference is aimed at both tourism providers wanting to understand and attract the ‘purple pound‘ travel market and travellers with disabilities and their travelling companions and / or carers.
Conference days:
6 May: Best Practice in Accessible and Inclusive Tourism
13 May: Understanding and Attracting the Accessible Tourism market
20 May: Accessible and Inclusive Destination Marketing
27 May: The Future of Accessible and Inclusive Tourism
Due to AITCAPs sponsors they have very kindly made a limited number of subsidised free places available to travellers with disabilities and their travelling companions and / or their carers.
So whilst international travel (indeed any travel) can be very challenging and at times impossible with ME/CFS, fibromyalgia, MCS etc if you are able to consider travel to the Asia Pacific, live in the Asia Pacific or if keeping the essence of international travel dreams alive is not too painful, then please apply here.
With family and friends in Singapore, Australia and South Korea I’ve yet to visit, I’m looking forward to listening in. It is a conference that is most definitely needed in our travel world both pre and post pandemic!
