August 2017 / Juliette Llewellyn
I recently changed Sensitive Travel’s background photo. Having driven the back road behind Pen y Fan, Brecon Beacons for first time in many years.
Last time I did this route was pre-illness, I was part of a trip taking some teenagers on a mountain bike excursion up the Taff Trail (Cardiff to Llangorse Lake, near Brecon).
I have also walked in the Beacons many times for the Duke of Edinburgh and in later years with family and friends. So lots of memories flooding back.
This time it was enough to see some of the waterfalls (Blaen y Glyn), reservoirs (Talybont), woods and views from this twisting back road.
I’ve never driven that back road! It looks interesting. Great photo.
Thanks Kath. It’s a road with some beautiful views, quite twisting but a number of stopping places – you’d enjoy it I think!
Will have to give it a go, maybe on my own. Think the family are getting fed up of my stopping in every passing place to take a photo!
Yes, sometimes I’ve gone out without a camera/phone just to have a break from taking photos – but then I regret not bringing it. X
